The Thawale Lodge is situated in a prime location, right on the edge of a beautiful waterhole that attracts a diverse range of wildlife, including a family of elephants who often come to visit. The lodge itself is unfenced and within the reserve’s boundaries, offering guests a unique opportunity to experience the natural environment. There are six tented chalets available, including three super king/twin, one luxury tent, and two double tents. Additionally, there are two family chalets – one double and one twin. Please note that the lodge does not accommodate children under three. As the camp is located in a Big 5 reserve, children must always be supervised.

Wildlife viewing at Thawale Lodge is excellent. You can go on a game drive or relax at the lodge and watch the waterhole to see animals like lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, leopards, elands, buffalos, and elephants. Birding is great during summer. Specialized game drives are available to explore Pwadzi and Pende.
